Delicious fall cookies!
Instructions
- Cream together: shortening, butter and sugar.
- Add egg and molasses.
- Combine dry ingredients, then add to wet.
- Form heaping tablespoons-full of dough into small balls, smaller than a golf ball. Roll balls in white sugar.
- Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Do not flatten.
- Bake at 375 F for 8-10 minutes, or until tops are crackled and lightly browned. Do NOT overbake. Cookies should still be slightly soft when removed from oven.
- Let cookies cool for 10 minutes on the cookie sheet before removing them to a cooling rack.
