Instructions
  1. Slice tomatoes in half lengthwise; place, cut side up, in greased shallow roasting pan.
  2. Coarsely chop together garlic, basil, salt and pepper.
  3. Pour in oil in thin steady stream while food processor is running.
  4. Spread over cut sides of tomatoes.
  5. Bake in 350F oven for 2 hours or until withered and edges are browned.
  6. Remove tomato skin and squish tomatoes with back of spoon.
  7. Meanwhile, in large pot of boiling salted water. Cook penne for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender but firm.
  8. Toss tomatoes into pasta with asiago and basil.
